The Granite State League in conjunction with USA Hockey will be adopting the American Development Model (ADM) for our U8 division beginning with the 2011 - 2012 season.
ADM is a nationwide model for successfully developing American hockey players. It uses long-term athlete development principles as its framework and emphasizes cross-ice play for the U8 division. Developed by internationally renowned coach educator Istvan Balyi, and adapted to ice hockey by USA Hockey, the principles of long-term athlete development are rooted in successful programs throughout the world.
