Learn to Play

Once your child is comfortable with the basics of skating, they'll progress to our Learn to Play program. Building on many of the basics learned in Learn to Skate, Learn to Play adds hockey sticks, puck skills, and more fun games to aid in the progression of becoming a hockey player.

Learn To Play Hockey
$199 per Session ($375 for 2 sessions)

Our Program is designed to introduce a child to the game of hockey and build the confidence he/she will need to play in a game. Each practice will consist of 5 to 7 skill stations with players being divided into small groups and rotating through the different stations. An emphasis will be placed on balance, forward and backward skating, stopping, crossovers, and agility skills. Players will learn puck handling, passing, shooting, and the basic skills needed to play in a game of hockey. Small Ice Games (including Cross Ice 3 on 3) will be introduced to enhance the players ability to stickhandle, pass, and shoot in a game situation.
