COVID19 Requires Testing
MRYHA was notified Sunday morning, by Aaron McIntire from the DHHS, that they has rescinded their offer to set up a mobile testing site for us this Wednesday, October 28.
After conferring with our leadership at DHHS they have not authorized the use of our mobile testing teams for non-outbreak testing. Outbreaks are on the rise and these additional events will reduce our ability to react. The governors intention was for individuals to utilize our fixed sites. I apologize for any inconvenience as we enter this uncharted territory.
I have included the links for all 40 of our community testing locations.
The Safer at Home: Hockey & Indoor Ice Arena document states, "Prior to Friday, November 6, 2020, it is required that all rink staff, volunteers, coaches/staff, referees, and athletes (youth and adult leagues) be tested at least once for COVID-19 to limit early re-introduction of COVID-19. The test should be performed after the announced 2-week “pause” on all hockey and ice arena activities on October 15, 2020. The test can be either PCR or Antigen based (ie Abbott BinaxNOW Rapid Test). Test results must be provided to the hockey program on or before Friday, November 6, 2020 with a copy being kept by the program for 30 days. A person is exempt from this recommendation if they have previously tested positive for COVID-19 in the three months prior to the date of the “pause” with a virus-specific test used to diagnose active infection (PCR or antigen based test).
Our registrar, Mike Durant, will be the point person for documenting each volunteer's, player's, coach's, and official's negative result. Please be sure that you provide Mike with a copy of the results prior to November 6. Digital copies can be sent to email@example.com and hard copies can be mailed to PO Box 4958, Manchester NH 03108.
Please note that per Governor Sununu's order, anyone who registered with USA Hockey (Coach, Player, Team Manager, Official, Board Member, On-Ice Help, etc.) is required to be tested prior to November 6. Below are links to COVID19 testing sites available to you.
