19-20 Tryout Information


  • PER EHF RULES, PLAYERS CURRENTLY ON AN EHF ROSTER (OUTSIDE OF MRYHA) ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR TRYOUTS PRIOR TO THE COMPLETION OF THE EHF ELITE PLAYOFFS. TRYOUTS FOR IMPACTED PLAYERS ARE SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 18TH. PLEASE CONTACT STEVE BELLEMORE, VICE PRESIDENT OF FLAMES, AT MRYHASTEVE@GMAIL.COM IF YOU FALL INTO THIS CATEGORY.
 
  • IT IS POSSIBLE THAT AN ENTIRE TEAM IS SELECTED IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE FIRST SESSION OF A PARTICULAR AGE GROUP. IF YOU INTEND ON ATTENDING TRYOUTS BUT ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND THE FIRST NIGHT, PLEASE CONTACT STEVE BELLEMORE, VICE PRESIDENT OF FLAMES AT MRYHASTEVE@GMAIL.COM.
 
  • ALL TRYOUTS WILL BE HELD AT WEST SIDE ARENA WITH EXCEPTION OF THE GOALIE-SPECIFIC TRYOUTS WHICH WILL BE HELD AT JFK. GOALIES ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THEIR AGE SPECIFIC TRYOUTS AS WELL.

Tryout Fee:

The tryout fee is $60 for pre-registered players. Must be received by March 4. $85 for players registered after March 4.

Any outstanding balances MUST BE PAID PRIOR to tryouts. Tryout registrations will not be accepted until all balances are paid in full.

This is a tryout fee only. No portion of this tryout fee is transferred to season tuition.

Tryout fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.

Tryouts:

  • Players need to be fully dressed and ready 10 minutes before tryout time.
  • Player spots are not guaranteed. Every player will be placed according to this season’s tryout.
  • Walk-ons must arrive one hour before scheduled ice times.
  • GOALIES must attend ALL SESSIONS in their respective divisions and Goalie session.

Team Selection:

Team selections will be posted on our website after completion of the last tryout session of that evening. Upon being selected for a team, player must make a $450 non-refundable deposit to secure the position on the team. This payment may be made in person or online within 24 hours of being selected for a team. Once deposit is made, it is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE

  • Participant Deposit Agreement must be completed to secure position at time of deposit.
  • Any unsecured positions will be considered open and filled at the programs discretion.
  • Withdrawal: refer to Participant Deposit Agreement for guidelines.
  • Visa and MasterCard are accepted in addition to cash, checks and money orders. Returned checks are subject to $40 returned check fee

Payments:

The BALANCE after deposit is due in five (5) installments:

APRIL 1, 2019

MAY 1, 2019

JUNE 1, 2019

JULY 1, 2019

AUGUST 1, 2019

Tuition balance MUST be made in full by September 1, 2019.

USA Hockey Registration:

USA Hockey On-line Registration will be required by all players and coaches. Registration fee for USA Hockey is set by USA Hockey and is required for all youth hockey players. Registration begins on April 1st, 2019. All players and coaches will need to be registered before they can participate in any games or practices for the 2019 – 2020 season.
