21 - 22 Tryout Information


PRIOR TO ENTRY, EVERYONE IS REQUIRED TO:

 

  • ANSWER SCREENING QUESTIONS AT WSA.ICOVIDSCREEN.COM/VISITORS FOR THE WEST SIDE ARENA ; AND

  • USE THE QR CODE GENERATED BY THE ONLINE QUESTION/ANSWER PROCESS TO CHECK INTO THE TEMPERATURE KIOSK AND COMPLETE THE SCREENING PROCESS

 

ALL PLAYERS MUST WEAR A MASK WHILE THEY ARE INSIDE THE FACILITY.  MASKS DO NOT HAVE TO BE WORN WHILE SKATING ON THE ICE FOR HOCKEY PRACTICE OR GAMES, BUT THE MASK MUST BE PUT BACK ON AS SOON AS THE PLAYER LEAVES THE ICE.

  • Per EHF rules, players currently on an NON-Flames EHF roster are not allowed to participate in our tryouts prior to the completion of the EHF Elite playoffs.

 

  • It is possible that an entire team is selected immediately following the first session of a particular age group. If you intend on attending tryouts but are unable to attend the first night, please contact Scott Dunn, Vice President of Flames at sdunn@mryha.org.

 

  • All Tryouts are at west side Arena 

Registration Fee:

The registration fee is $45 for early registered players (on or before February 15th) and $75 for players registered after February 15.

Any outstanding balances MUST BE PAID PRIOR to tryouts. Registrations will not be accepted until all balances are paid in full.

This is a Registration fee only. No portion of this registration fee is transferred to season tuition.

The registration fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.


Tryouts:

  • Players need to be fully dressed and ready 10 minutes before tryout time.
  • Player spots are not guaranteed. Every player will be placed according to this season’s tryout.
  • Walk-ons must arrive one hour before scheduled ice times.
  • GOALIES must attend ALL SESSIONS in their respective divisions and Goalie session.

Team Selection:

Team selections will be emailed. Upon being selected for a team, player must make a $450 non-refundable deposit to secure the position on the team. This payment may be made in person or online within 24 hours of being selected for a team. Once deposit is made, it is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE

  • Participant Deposit Agreement must be completed to secure position at time of deposit.
  • Any unsecured positions will be considered open and filled at the programs discretion.
  • Withdrawal: refer to Participant Deposit Agreement for guidelines.
  • Visa and MasterCard are accepted in addition to cash, checks and money orders. Returned checks are subject to $40 returned check fee

Payments:

The BALANCE after deposit is invoiced in five (5) installments:

APRIL 1, 2021

MAY 1, 2021

JUNE 1, 2021

JULY 1, 2021

AUGUST 1, 2021

Tuition balance MUST be made in full by September 1, 2021.


USA Hockey Registration:

The Player is responsible for registering with USA Hockey prior to the first practice pursuant to USA Hockey Rules and Regulations. Register at www.USAhockey.com. Be sure to forward your confirmation number to the registrar. 

USPLH (FED) Hockey Registration:

Each family is responsible for registering their child/children with the EHF/USPHL prior to the first practice pursuant to the EHF Rules and Regulations. Register at www.USPHL.com. A fee of $50.00 will be added to your tuition if registration is not completed in time.
